TANJIL FATEMA

Tanjil Fatema is a visual artist, educator, and cultural leader with an MFA in Drawing & Painting from the University of Chittagong. 

Tanjil holds a strong focus on expressing the power of women in ancient myths through art, blending it with contemporary themes using various artistic mediums.In her roles as Chairman of Pran Prokritir Kabbo and Director of Kalpapuri School of Arts & Crafts, she leads projects that integrate craft, environment, and community development. With a background as a former Assistant Professor of SMUCT and Subject Specialist for the National Curriculum Textbook Board, Tanjil has expertise in curriculum and teaching learning materials development. She is also the founding director of Kendrabindu and Dharitri and is involved in the governing committee of Santaran Art Organization.

MONJUR AHMED

Monjur is a multidisciplinary artist, curator, and art educator who holds a Master of Fine Arts in Drawing & Painting from the University of Chittagong. 

Since the late 1990s, he has been committed to developing an inclusive artistic language that incorporates indigenous knowledge, human ecology, and cross-cultural communication in his various art projects and collaborations. Monjur is known for his pioneering work in performance art, where he integrates folk ritualistic expressions of marginalized communities into thematic actions. His research-driven practice explores folk and traditional art forms, materials, tools, and techniques through contemporary mediums such as installation art, site-specific art, and new media art. Monjur has curated numerous national and international exhibitions, including the 19th Asian Art Biennale, Nomad Biennale, Karnaphuli Folk Triennial, and Multidisciplinary Art Show. As the president of Santaran Art Organization, he continues to champion artistic innovation and community involvement. In his previous roles as the head of the Fine Arts department at SMUCT and Art Director, subject specialist at the National Curriculum Textbook Board, Monjur spearheaded initiatives in creative education and art innovation, emphasizing fieldwork, community collaboration, and design-oriented approaches to create culturally sustainable products, curricula, and public art in early to higher education.

ROMIJ AHMED Ph.D.

Dr. Romij Ahmed is an education research and assessment speeducationalith over 32 years’ experience in national and international programs.

Dr. Romij holds an M.Sc. in Statistics and a PhD in Educational Assessment and Evaluation. Romij has led large-scale student assessments, EMIS development, and monitoring initiatives with agencies including the World Bank, UNICEF, UNDP, ADB, JICA etc. His expertise spans test design, sampling, psychometrics, and data systems, and he has played a key role in Bangladesh’s national assessment programmes. As an advisor to ThinkTree, Romij brings rigorous methodological insight and practical leadership to strengthen evidence-based education policy and practice.
